Owoeye Daniella emerges 2026 UTME top scorer with 372 Marks as JAMB releases best candidates list

Owoeye Daniella Jesudusin, an indigene of Ekiti State, has emerged as the overall top scorer in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) with an impressive 372 marks.

According to details presented at the 2026 Policy Meeting of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), the candidate sat for the examination in Ogun State and applied to study Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Lagos.

Closely behind her was Enwere Kingsley Ikenna from Imo State, who scored 370 marks to emerge as the first runner-up. He sat for the examination in Lagos State and applied to study Computer Science at Nile University, Abuja.

The second runner-up position went to Bamisile Ayomide Emmanuel from Ondo State, who scored 369 marks. He also sat for the examination in Ogun State and applied for Software Engineering at the Federal University of Technology, Akure.

Five candidates tied for the fourth position with 368 marks. They include Olabiyisi Olanrewaju Oluwatimileyin, Victor-Onyeka Daniel Ifeanyi, Osaglobare Daniel Osahenrumwen, Ademiluyi Adebowale Anthony, and Azuike Kenechukwu Anthony.

Similarly, four candidates—Offorkile Michael Okechukwu, Adebisi Enlola Sonari, Umukoro Gift Oghenevovwero, and Ononuju Chidumebi Emmanuel—scored 367 marks to share the fifth position.

The Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, who announced the results, congratulated the candidates and reiterated that the UTME remains a ranking examination designed to uphold merit and maintain credibility in Nigeria’s admission process.

He also reaffirmed the board’s commitment to ensuring fairness, transparency, and integrity in the conduct of examinations nationwide.
