The All Progressives Congress has disqualified Senator Ipalibo Banigo from participating in the party’s senatorial primary election scheduled for Monday.
Banigo, who currently represents Rivers West in the Senate, was screened out alongside former Rivers State Secretary to the Government, Tammy Wenike Danagogo, Ojukaye Flag Amachree and businessman Tein Jack-Rich.
Meanwhile, the party cleared Senator Allwell Onyesoh of Rivers East, alongside Felix Obua, Barry Mwara and Osarosaka Ebenezer to participate in the primaries.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the party’s Rivers State Publicity Secretary, Chibuike Ikenga, advised aspirants and party members to take note of the development and comply accordingly.
