Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have conducted a successful offensive against Boko Haram terrorists in the Bula Daloye cluster of Borno State, destroying several hideouts and recovering assorted weapons.

Counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, who disclosed details of the operation on his X handle on Friday, said the raid was carried out at about 5:00 p.m. on 18 November 2025 by personnel of the 21 Special Armoured Battalion.

According to him, the troops initially stormed a target location where the insurgents fled upon sighting the advancing soldiers. The forces then pushed deeper into a second site within the cluster, conducting a thorough sweep of a three-kilometre radius that showed clear evidence of terrorist activity.

Makama added that the operation led to the destruction of makeshift camps and the recovery of weapons, dealing another blow to remnants of the terrorist group still operating within the area.

“The troops engaged the terrorists in a fire fight and neutralized some of them while others fled. The troops further destroyed all identified structures used by the terrorists.” He wrote. “During the operation, one military vehicle reportedly triggered an improvised explosive device (IED), resulting in injuries to two hybrid force personnel. They were stabilised on-site by medical staff. There were no fatalities reported among the troops.”

Recovered were five AK-47 rifles, six magazines, 67 rounds of 7.62x39mm ammunition, two motorcycles, a Dane gun and a bicycle. An explosive ordnance disposal team also found and safely detonated four additional IEDs.
