‘Tinubu will be defeated before 8am on election day’ — ADC Chieftain Modibbo
A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ibrahim Modibbo, has predicted that President Bola Tinubu will lose the 2027 presidential election before 8am on election day.
Modibbo made the claim while appearing on AIT’s Democracy Today programme on Friday night.
The ADC chieftain also declared that the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, could not be matched by any politician, including President Tinubu.
“Atiku is one politician today that can’t be rivalled by any politician, including the President,” Modibbo said.
He further expressed confidence in the opposition party’s chances in the 2027 presidential contest, insisting that Tinubu would be defeated early on election day.
“Let me repeat again, President Bola Tinubu will be defeated before 8 o’clock on the day of the election,” he added.
Modibbo also criticised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, accusing him of using public funds for political activities.
The ADC chieftain further claimed that Wike lacked an understanding of political dynamics in Northern Nigeria and the wider country, arguing that the minister’s political experience was largely limited to Rivers State.
“He is taking public money to spend on politics talking about the President. He doesn’t know anything about the politics of the North and Nigeria; the only knowledge he has is the politics of Rivers,” Modibbo said.
