The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has suspended its planned strike set to begin on January 12.

The decision was announced on Sunday in a statement by Shuaibu Ibrahim, NARD’s secretary-general.

Earlier, the association had declared the strike following its emergency national executive council (E-NEC) meeting on January 2.

NARD said it wanted to embark on the strike to press home their demands from the Federal Government.
