Delta North Senator, Ned Nwoko, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art mini stadium in Issele-Uku, Delta State, describing the facility as a testament to shared growth and regional development.

In a post shared via his official X handle on Tuesday, Nwoko said the new stadium was built to encourage youth participation in sports, promote healthy rivalry, and foster unity within the community.

According to him, the project represents a commitment to empowering young people through sports and creating platforms that nurture talent and community pride.

“This project was conceived to inspire our youths, promote healthy competition, and strengthen community spirit,” he said.

The facility features a standard football pitch, a seven-a-side multi-sports arena, pavilions on both sides, and well-equipped dressing rooms, providing an enabling environment for sports and recreation.

“For me, every project is about impact, about giving our people access to facilities that uplift, empower, and unite.

“With this stadium, we are nurturing the next generation of athletes and leaders who will make Delta North proud,” Nwoko added.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to community development, saying, “Our journey of transformation continues, one community at a time.”

Very Nigerian had reported that Ned Nwoko called for the establishment, development and management of ranches across all 774 local government areas and the Federal Capital Territory to enhance food security across the country.

He said that the proposal is ‘’A Bill for an Act to Provide for the Establishment, Development, and Management of Ranches in the 774 Local Government Areas and the Federal Capital Territory, to Promote Modern Livestock Farming, Curb Open Grazing, Enhance Food Security, and for Related Matters’.
