The Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has expressed strong confidence that he would decisively defeat any opponent if he contests the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking on Monday during a media interaction with selected journalists, Wike said Nigerians still hold him in high esteem.

“Nigerians still love me, and if I run for the presidential election, they will vote for me massively,” he stated.

The minister highlighted his ability to connect with ordinary citizens, pointing to his track record as former Rivers State Governor and current FCT Minister as proof of his competence and appeal.

Wike also asserted that even if the recently concluded FCT council elections were repeated, his supporters would still emerge victorious, underscoring his political influence in the nation’s capital.
