Troops foil suspected terrorist attack in Kaduna community
Troops operating under Sector 1 of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have successfully repelled a suspected terrorist attack in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The development was disclosed in a post shared on X on Thursday by security analyst, Zagazola Makama.
According to the report, the incident occurred on April 29 at about 4:30 p.m. in Jarhawa village, when suspected terrorists launched an ആക്രമ against civilians in the area.
Security sources said troops stationed at the Forward Operating Base in Sabon Birni quickly responded after receiving a distress call about the attack.
The troops were said to have moved swiftly to the scene, forcing the attackers to flee on sighting the advancing soldiers.
One civilian was later found with gunshot injuries and was immediately given attention, according to the report.
According to Makama, the area has since been secured by troops, while efforts are ongoing to track down the fleeing suspects and prevent further attacks in the community.
