BREAKING: PDP expels Wike, Fayose, Anyanwu, others over alleged anti-party activities
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expelled several high-profile members, including former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, Senior Advocate of Nigeria Kamaldeen Ajibade, former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, Hon. Austin Nwachukwu, and others, following allegations of anti-party activities.
The sweeping action was taken on Saturday during the party’s ongoing 2025 National Convention in Ibadan, Oyo State, where delegates held extensive discussions on internal discipline and the party’s future ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Party officials stated that the expulsion was approved after an overwhelming majority of delegates backed the recommendation of the National Working Committee, insisting that the PDP must address persistent internal sabotage, factional battles, and loyalty issues to rebuild its strength.

Leaders at the convention described the decision as a “decisive step toward restoring unity, discipline, and focus,” stressing that the party must reposition itself to regain national influence and competitiveness.
More to come.
