The Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan has reaffirmed its earlier clearance for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to go ahead with its 2025 Elective National Convention scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, November 15, through Sunday, November 16, 2025, in the Oyo State capital.

Justice Ladiran Akintola issued the fresh directive on Friday, November 14, after hearing submissions from all parties involved in the case, including the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The judge ruled that the interim order already granted in favour of the PDP remains valid until the court decides the Motion on Notice.

According to the court, its previous order permitting the party to proceed with the convention still stands, effectively giving full legal backing for the national gathering to hold as planned.

The matter was adjourned to December 8, 2025, while the interim order stays in force.

This latest ruling clears the way for the PDP to conduct its National Convention in Ibadan without interruption.
