Bandits ambush Sunday Igboho’s security team in Oyo forest, injure many
Several members of the security team of Yoruba nation agitator Sunday Adeyemo were reportedly injured after suspected bandits ambushed them in a forest in Oyo State.
The attack reportedly occurred during a security operation in the forest, where the gunmen opened fire on Igboho’s security operatives, leading to a fierce exchange of gunfire.
Sources said several members of the security team sustained varying degrees of injuries during the ambush, while the attackers fled into the forest after the confrontation.
The exact number of casualties has yet to be officially confirmed, and authorities have not released a formal statement on the incident.
The attack comes amid growing security concerns in parts of Oyo State, where criminal activities, including kidnapping and armed attacks, have continued to pose challenges despite ongoing security operations.
