Beautiful Beginning Academy celebrates 2026 graduation, awards excellence, announces scholarship for special needs pupil
The ceremony, themed “Growing Together in Knowledge and in Character,” was held at Nile University, Abuja, bringing together students, parents, teachers and other stakeholders from within and outside the Federal Capital Territory.
Beautiful Beginning Academy (BBA) Cambridge International School, Apo, Abuja, has held its 2026 Graduation Ceremony, celebrating academic excellence, leadership and character while reaffirming its commitment to nurturing the next generation of responsible leaders.
The ceremony, themed “Growing Together in Knowledge and in Character,” was held at Nile University, Abuja, bringing together students, parents, teachers and other stakeholders from within and outside the Federal Capital Territory.
In her goodwill message, the Solicitor-General of the Federation and Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Justice, Mrs. Beatrice Jedy-Agba, congratulated the graduating class and wished them success in their future endeavours.
Delivering the keynote address as Mother of the Day, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, Comrade Grace Ike, described the graduation as the beginning of a lifelong journey of purpose, service and limitless possibilities. She urged the graduands to pursue excellence with resilience, integrity and discipline, stressing that strong character would ultimately define their success. She also commended parents, teachers and the school’s management for their unwavering commitment to raising disciplined and values-driven young people.
Representing the Director-General of the Voice of Nigeria (VON), the Deputy Director of Digital Media, Dr. Qasim Akinreti, encouraged the graduating students to aspire to greatness, remain hopeful and embrace hard work, faith and determination. He also praised teachers for their invaluable role in shaping future leaders, noting that the true reward of teaching is reflected in the achievements of students.
Chairman of the Academy, Sir Chinasaokwu Innocent Okolie, charged the graduands to remain worthy ambassadors of the institution, while the class valedictorian, Ivana Arabome, reflected on the memorable experiences and achievements of the Class of 2026.
In her address, the Managing Director of the Academy, Dr. Rosemary Nasa-Okolie, expressed pride in the graduating class, describing them as exceptional ambassadors of the institution. She announced that the school had received approval to host TEDx events, a development she said would provide students with a global platform to share ideas, showcase innovation and engage with world-renowned thought leaders. She also appreciated parents for their continued support and urged the graduands to uphold the values of the institution wherever they go.
One of the most emotional moments of the ceremony was the announcement of a scholarship for Adaeze Tochukwu Okeke, a student with special needs, to study at Nile University of Nigeria. The scholarship, sponsored by the Managing Director of AFRIQUE Investments and Infrastructure Partners, Sir Okechi Uchechukwu, was in recognition of Adaeze’s inspiring determination and resilience. The announcement drew a standing ovation from guests and reinforced the school’s commitment to inclusive education and equal opportunities.
The Academy also celebrated its recent academic achievement after emerging overall winner of the NUJ FCT Press Week 2026 Quiz Competition held on May 21, 2026. Management attributed the victory to the discipline, dedication and hard work of its pupils while acknowledging the support received from partners throughout the competition.
The colourful ceremony featured cultural performances, choreography, a moot court session, spoken-word presentations and the presentation of awards to outstanding students, teachers and distinguished stakeholders.
Beautiful Beginning Academy described the Class of 2026 as confident, articulate and purpose-driven young people prepared to make meaningful contributions to society.
