Harry Kane bags European Golden Shoe for 2025/26 season
Harry Kane has won the European Golden Shoe for the 2025/26 season after finishing as the highest-scoring player in Europe’s domestic leagues.
The England captain was confirmed as the recipient of the prestigious award following another impressive goalscoring campaign with German giants Bayern Munich.
According to beIN SPORTS on Monday, Kane’s strong performances throughout the season saw him finish ahead of other top scorers across Europe.
The European Golden Shoe is awarded annually to the player who scores the most league goals across Europe’s top domestic divisions.
Kane scored 73 goals across the season, including 12 for England, matching his best international return since the 2021/22 campaign.
The former Tottenham Hotspur striker also made history at the 2026 FIFA World Cup as England recorded their best-ever finish at a men’s World Cup staged outside Europe.
During the tournament, Kane became England’s leading goalscorer in FIFA World Cup history after first equalling and then surpassing Gary Lineker’s record.
His performances also moved him into joint fifth place on the all-time FIFA World Cup goalscorers list.
The award adds another individual honour to Kane’s prolific career and further underlines his goalscoring form for club and country.
