Osun Poll: Tension in Ikire as voters protest over alleged monitoring by party agents
Tension was reported at AUD Primary School, Atile, Ikire, in Irewole Local Government Area of Osun State on Saturday over the alleged clustering of political party agents around the voting area.
Some voters reportedly expressed concern that the presence of several party agents was affecting the voting environment.
Security personnel intervened at the polling location to calm the situation and prevent any disruption to the electoral process.
An Accord Party agent, Ajayi Ayodele, alleged that agents of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were monitoring voters while they cast their ballots.
