Nottingham Forest delivered a major upset on Saturday, cruising to a 3-0 victory over Liverpool at Anfield and dealing another blow to the champions’ faltering Premier League title defence.
The defeat marked Liverpool’s sixth loss in their last seven league games, leaving them eight points behind leaders Arsenal and deepening concerns over their recent slump.
Forest struck first in the 33rd minute when Brazilian defender Murillo headed home from a corner. Nicolo Savona doubled the advantage shortly after the break, putting the visitors firmly in control.
Morgan Gibbs-White put the result beyond doubt 12 minutes from time after he followed up Alisson’s save from Omari Hutchinson.
