‘Don’t expect 2027 to be like Osun election’ – Rufai Oseni
Arise Television’s The Morning Show anchor, Rufai Oseni, has cautioned Nigerians against assuming that the outcome of the 2026 Osun State governorship election will be repeated during the 2027 general elections.
Oseni urged Nigerians to pay close attention to the political and security challenges that may surround the 2027 polls, stressing the need for adequate preparation.
He said the level of federal influence and resources allegedly deployed during the Osun governorship election could be applied on a much larger scale during the 2027 general elections.
According to him, Nigerians should not rely on the outcome of the Osun election as an indication of what to expect in 2027, noting that the political dynamics and stakes would be significantly different.
Oseni therefore called for greater awareness and vigilance as the country moves closer to the 2027 elections.
