My social media post was misinterpreted , I’m still Marlian – Zinoleesky

Nigerian singer Zinoleesky has dismissed widespread rumours suggesting he has left Marlian Records, making it clear that he remains fully committed to the label.

Speculation erupted on Saturday after the ‘Celine Dion’ crooner shared, and later deleted, an Instagram story that appeared to hint at dissatisfaction with his management.

In the since-deleted post, he wrote, “I am standing up not just for myself but for every artist who’s ever felt powerless or taken advantage of. We deserve better. We deserve transparency, fairness and respect.”

The message immediately stirred online debate, with fans and industry observers assuming it signaled a possible rift with Marlian Records, the label owned by rapper Naira Marley.

But the singer, whose real name is Oniyinde Azeez, quickly poured cold water on the rumours. In a follow-up Instagram story, he told fans to ignore the speculation, writing, “NM for life… Make una Dey whine una sef.” He reinforced his loyalty on X, simply adding, “Marlian Forever.”

Zinoleesky, who joined Marlian Records in 2020, has remained one of the label’s most successful artistes.

He broke into the mainstream with his debut EP Chrome Eccentric released the same year.

Since then, he has expanded his discography with the acclaimed project Grit & Lust (2022), featuring Omah Lay and Ayra Starr, and his debut studio album Gen Z, released in April this year.
