‘Nearly 50 Osun residents killed’ – Sowore knocks Adeleke over Tinubu visit
African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has criticised Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke over his recent meeting with President Bola Tinubu, alleging that the visit was linked to a political agreement between both leaders.
Sowore made the allegation in a post on his official X handle on Thursday, August 20, 2026, while reacting to photographs showing Adeleke meeting with Tinubu.
The AAC candidate claimed that nearly 50 people in Osun State had lost their lives in election-related violence.
He described Adeleke’s visit to the President as evidence that a political understanding between the two leaders had been reached, saying the alleged agreement had now been sealed.
“Governor Ademola Adeleke, the man who has his brains beneath his feet, has now gone to visit his preferred presidential candidate, failed Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu,” Sowore wrote.
Sowore then turned his attention to the violence surrounding the Osun election, claiming that nearly 50 residents had died in election-related incidents.
“Meanwhile, nearly 50 Osun citizens have been killed in election-related violence, including another person killed yesterday, sacrificed to his spoilt brat cousin, Davido, near the palace of the Ataoja of Osogbo,” he alleged.
The AAC chieftain also criticised Adeleke over his political relationship with Tinubu, linking the governor’s meeting with the President to the ongoing political developments ahead of the 2027 election.
