Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has disclosed that he earns a monthly salary of N503,000.

The governor made the disclosure in a video that has gone viral on social media, recorded during a recent event in Asaba, the state capital.

Oborevwori also revealed that a Permanent Secretary in the state earns N900,000 monthly, while the Head of Service receives N1 million per month.

His remarks indicate that the monthly salary of a Permanent Secretary is almost twice that of the governor.

“You will also recall that we were one of the first states that implemented the minimum wage.

“Today, a Permanent Secretary’s salary is more than the governor’s. Your salary is N900,000; my salary is N503,000. Head of Service is N1 million,” he said.

In the first seven months of 2026, the Federal Government, states and local governments shared about N16 trillion from the Federation Account.
