Shell Recruitment: Technical, HI Project Security Lead positions available (How to apply)
Shell, one of the world’s leading energy companies, is recruiting qualified professionals to fill two security-related positions in Lagos.
The available roles are HI Project Security Lead and Technical Security Lead. Both positions are full-time opportunities and require relevant experience in security, project delivery, technology or related fields.

1. HI Project Security Lead
The successful candidate will support the HI project’s security risk management and provide functional security support throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying, assessing and mitigating security risks.
- Supporting security deliverables through ORS Decision Gates DG1–DG5.
- Contributing to Pre-FEED and FEED activities.
- Developing and reviewing security plans.
- Managing security risks during project execution.
- Supporting security assurance plans.
- Providing security input into engineering, logistics, execution and operational plans.
- Monitoring physical security measures at project sites.
- Coordinating with intelligence, logistics, contractors and security teams.
- Supporting emergency response, project movements and offshore security activities.
- Conducting LOD1 assurance and leading security drills.
- Supporting pre-startup risk assessments.
- Deputising for the Project Security Manager when required.
Requirements

| Key Skills | Project management, analytics, planning, communication and writing |
Postgraduate qualifications in relevant fields will be an advantage.
2. Technical Security Lead
The Technical Security Lead will be responsible for designing, implementing and overseeing security technology used to protect Shell’s physical assets and infrastructure.
The role involves ensuring that security technologies, processes and architecture align with Shell’s Group Security Standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead security technology matters and provide technical expertise to stakeholders.
- Develop and manage the SCiN Security Technology Roadmap.
- Identify and evaluate emerging security technologies and partners.
- Work with internal teams to design and implement technical security solutions.
- Review engineering and architectural deliverables.
- Develop and maintain technical specifications, standards, tools and processes.
- Conduct strategic reviews of high-priority and high-risk assets.
- Develop improvement strategies and business cases.
- Create and review High-Level Security Designs (HLSDs).
- Provide technical leadership and operational oversight.
- Lead Genetec system delivery and access control operations.
- Mentor and train security staff.
- Support contractors and industry partners.
- Drive cost savings through quotation reviews, value engineering and contract support.

Candidates should also possess strong analytical, organisational, presentation, facilitation and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure in multicultural and cross-functional teams.
