Former West Ham goalkeeper Ludek Miklosko has died at the age of 64 after a battle with cancer.

West Ham United announced his death in a post on X on Monday morning.

Miklosko was a key figure for the club during his playing days, making almost 400 appearances for West Ham between 1990 and 1998.

The Czech announced his decision to withdraw from further cancer treatment in 2024, three years after his diagnosis.

The former goalkeeper, who joined West Ham from Banik Ostrava, helped the club win promotion to the English top flight in 1991 and 1993.
