Gov Bago terminates appointment of 30 Special Advisers
The Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bagom, has approved the termination of the appointments of 30 Special Advisers as part of efforts to restructure and reposition governance in the state.
The decision was disclosed in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Bologi Ibrahim.
According to the statement, Governor Bagom announced the development during his maiden State Executive Council meeting with the newly sworn-in commissioners at the Council Chamber of the Government House in Minna.
Bologi explained that the move was aimed at rejigging the administration to enhance effectiveness and efficiency in line with the governor’s New Niger Agenda.
He said the disengagement would allow the governor to review existing portfolios and realign responsibilities to better meet the development goals of the administration.
The governor, while appreciating the affected advisers for their sacrifices and contributions to the success recorded so far by his government, wished them well in their future endeavours.
The development marks one of the early administrative reforms under Governor Bagom’s leadership, as he moves to streamline governance and strengthen service delivery across the state.
