Executive members of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Gargari Ward, Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State, have expelled the party’s State Chairman, Hashimu Dungurawa, over alleged anti-party activities.

The decision was reached during the ward’s second executive meeting held two weeks after the general election and was endorsed by 27 executive members, who signed a resolution approving the expulsion.

The meeting was presided over by the Ward Chairman, Shuaibu Hassan, with the Ward Secretary, Yahaya Saidu Dungurawa, also in attendance.

According to the resolution, Dungurawa was expelled over allegations bordering on creating divisions within the party, instigating internal crises, failure to pay party dues, and making abusive remarks against the Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf.

The ward executives described the alleged actions as unacceptable and inimical to the unity, image, and progress of the NNPP in Kano State.

They maintained that the decision was taken in strict compliance with the provisions of the party’s constitution, stressing that discipline, unity, and internal cohesion must be upheld at all levels of the party.

The Gargari Ward leadership disclosed that copies of the resolution had been forwarded to the party’s Local Government, State, and National headquarters for necessary action.

They also confirmed that the resolution was served on the NNPP national leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, as well as Governor Yusuf, for their information and further directives.

According to the executives, the expulsion is intended to serve as a deterrent to party members who misuse positions of authority and act as though they are above party rules and discipline.

The ward leadership reaffirmed its loyalty to the NNPP national leadership under Senator Kwankwaso and pledged continued support for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

They further pledged their commitment to peace, unity, and the overall advancement of the party at the ward, local government, state, and national levels.
