The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has officially released the 2025 November/December National Business Certificate/National Technical Certificate (NBC/NTC) and Advanced National Business Certificate/Advanced National Technical Certificate (ANBC/ANTC) results.

The disclosure was made on Monday at NABTEB’s headquarters in Benin by the Registrar and CEO, Dr Aminu Mohammed, who described the timely release, within 64 days after the last paper, as a reflection of the board’s commitment to integrity, transparency, and efficiency in conducting public examinations.

According to Dr Mohammed, 61,591 candidates registered nationwide, comprising 57,444 ordinary level and 4,147 advanced level candidates, marking a 28.42 per cent increase in enrolment compared to 2024.

Examinations were conducted in 2,079 centres, a 13.92 per cent increase, demonstrating growing confidence in NABTEB’s examinations.

Performance across trade categories varied, with Construction Trades recording 79.32 per cent, Engineering Trades 76.84 per cent, Miscellaneous Trades 77 per cent, and Business Trades 52.07 per cent. Overall, 57.32 per cent of candidates were certified as craftsmen, while 56.52 per cent qualified as master craftsmen.

Dr Mohammed further revealed that 54,009 candidates (94.74%) obtained five credits or more, including English Language and Mathematics.

On the issue of examination malpractice, only 259 candidates (0.42%) were involved, a slight decline from 0.53% in 2024, indicating the effectiveness of strengthened monitoring mechanisms in collaboration with security agencies.

Reaffirming NABTEB’s commitment to Nigeria’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) reforms, Dr Mohammed highlighted efforts to equip Nigerian youths with 21st-century skills, positioning the country as a skilled destination hub in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Candidates are urged to check their results on the NABTEB portal, and registration for the 2026 in-school NBC/NTC examinations has already commenced.
