Alex Iwobi reportedly robbed at knifepoint, loses valuables worth £500,000
Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has reportedly been robbed, with valuables estimated at about £500,000 stolen from his residence.
According to reports by Daily Sports, the footballer was allegedly held at knifepoint by the attackers during the incident.
The assailants were said to have carted away several items, including wristwatches, jewellery, two iPhones, and a MacBook laptop.
It was also reported that Iwobi had about £200,000 in cash on him at the time, which was also taken by the robbers.
Authorities have since launched an investigation into the incident.
Iwobi featured for Fulham last weekend in their Premier League clash against Burnley, where the Cottagers secured a 3-1 victory.
