Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is set to leave the club at the end of the 2025–26 season, bringing an end to his successful spell at Anfield, the club announced on it website Liverpoolfc.com.

The Egyptian star has reached an agreement with the club that will see him draw the curtain on a remarkable nine-year journey with the Reds.

Salah chose to make his decision known early out of respect for the supporters, saying he wanted to be open about his future and show appreciation for their continued support.

Since joining Liverpool from AS Roma in 2017, the forward has grown into one of the club’s greatest players, playing a key role in winning major trophies, including two Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup, two League Cups, and the FA Community Shield.

He has scored 255 goals in 435 appearances so far, placing him third on Liverpool’s all-time top scorers list. Salah has also won the Premier League Golden Boot four times, alongside several individual awards.

Despite the announcement, the forward remains focused on helping Liverpool finish the current season strongly, with plans for a proper farewell expected later when he officially departs the club.
