Actress Doris Ogala regains after two days in custody
Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has been released from police custody after spending two days in detention.
Doris regained her freedom on Monday, following her arrest on Saturday evening.
Very Nigerian had reported that the actress was taken into custody after she publicly accused a popular Lagos-based pastor, Chris Okafor, of allegedly deceiving her with a promise of marriage.
The allegations were made on social media, where Doris claimed she was misled, among other accusations. Her arrest sparked reactions online, with many fans and colleagues expressing concern over the development.
Her arrest sparked diverse reactions from Nigerians, with many online personalities including VeryDarkMan calling for her release.
Celebrating her release, Doris in a post on her Instagram page Monday afternoon, thanked human rights activist and politician, Omoyele Sowore and VeryDarkMan for their efforts.
