ADC unveils guber candidates in 28 states, promises Nigerians real change (Full List)

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has unveiled its governorship and deputy governorship candidates for the 2027 general elections in 28 states across Nigeria.

The party announced the candidates in a statement on Friday, saying the move was part of its efforts to present credible leadership and what it described as a viable alternative to Nigerians ahead of the elections.

Among the notable names on the list are Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour in Lagos State, Isa Mohammed Ashiru in Kaduna, Great Ogboru in Delta, Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita in Katsina and former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, in Kebbi.

The ADC also fielded candidates in Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Bauchi, Benue, Borno, Cross River, Ebonyi, Enugu, Gombe, Jigawa, Kano, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Ogun, Oyo, Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto, Taraba, Yobe and Zamfara states.

The party said the candidates would carry its banner into the 2027 elections with a commitment to providing Nigerians with credible leadership and a “real alternative”.

5. Benue: Rt. Hon. Herman Iorwase Hembe — Governor; Abba John Abba — Deputy Governor

6. Borno: Babagana Buhari — Governor; Mamman Dauda — Deputy Governor

7. Cross River: Nkoyo Toyo — Governor; Okwoche Andrew Adagbor — Deputy Governor

8. Delta: Chief Great Ogboru — Governor; Afiari Gloria — Deputy Governor

9. Ebonyi: Ukpai Mba Udeh — Governor; Onwe Daniel Ede — Deputy Governor

The unveiling comes as political parties intensify preparations and mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
