Uncertainty had surrounded the player for the past 48 hours

Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad have confirmed the termination of N’Golo Kanté’s contract, clearing the way for the French midfielder to complete his move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

The development follows FIFA’s approval of the transfer after an earlier administrative error delayed the switch.

Kanté, who joined Al-Ittihad in 2023, is now set to sign a contract with Fenerbahce that will keep him at the club until 2028.

In a brief statement issued via the club’s official social media channels, Al-Ittihad announced the midfielder’s departure.

“The club agrees to sell the remaining period of N’Golo Kanté’s contract,” the statement read.

The confirmation brings an end to uncertainty surrounding Kanté’s future, which had intensified over the last 48 hours amid reports of regulatory issues delaying the transfer.

The former Chelsea and Leicester City midfielder is expected to be unveiled by Fenerbahce in the coming days as the Istanbul-based club strengthens its squad ahead of domestic and European commitments.
