BREAKING: Dangote refinery cuts down petrol, diesel prices
Dangote Refinery has reduced the prices of petrol and diesel by ₦100.
According to the refinery’s latest pricing template issued on March 10, 2026, the gantry price of petrol, also known as Premium Motor Spirit, has been cut from ₦1,175 per litre to ₦1,075 per litre.
The new adjustment means marketers who lift fuel directly from the refinery will now pay ₦1,075 per litre, reflecting a ₦100 reduction from the previous price.
Industry observers say the price drop could influence pump prices at filling stations if marketers pass the reduction on to consumers.
The refinery has further stated that the price of PMS for coastal supply will now be set at ₦1,050 per litre, which accounts for a minor adjustment due to maritime distribution expenses.
In a similar manner, the cost of Automotive Gas Oil (diesel) has been lowered to ₦1,430 per litre at the gantry. This marks a reduction of ₦190 from the previous price of ₦1,620 per litre.
The refinery pointed out that the prices at the gantry do not include fees from the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).
