BREAKING: Ndidi out, Onyedika in — Chelle names atrong XI for AFCON Semifinal clash with Morocco (Full List)

Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has made one key change to Nigeria’s starting line-up for tonight’s AFCON 2025 semi-final clash against Morocco, with Raphael Onyedika stepping in for the suspended Wilfred Ndidi.

Ndidi, who captained the team in the quarter-final victory over Algeria, will miss the encounter after receiving his second yellow card of the tournament.

Onyedika returns to the fold for his second start in the competition. The Club Brugge midfielder was outstanding in Nigeria’s 3–1 win over Uganda during the group stage, scoring twice and earning the Man of the Match award.

He will anchor the midfield alongside Frank Onyeka and Alex Iwobi, providing balance and energy in the middle of the park.

Upfront, the familiar attacking trio of Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, and Akor Adams will once again lead the charge as the Eagles aim to book a place in the AFCON final.

In defence, Calvin Bassey, Semi Ajayi, Bright Osayi-Samuel, and Bruno Onyemaechi retain their places, while Stanley Nwabali keeps his spot between the posts after a string of solid performances.

Nigeria will face a formidable Moroccan side at 9 p.m. Nigerian time at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, with a ticket to the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations at stake.

Super Eagles Starting XI:
Stanley Nwabali (GK); Bright Osayi-Samuel, Calvin Bassey, Semi Ajayi, Bruno Onyemaechi; Raphael Onyedika, Frank Onyeka, Alex Iwobi; Ademola Lookman, Akor Adams, Victor Osimhen.
