Gunmen strike in Kebbi, kidnap Deputy Speaker Bagudu

Gunmen have kidnapped the Deputy Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Samaila Bagudu, in his hometown, Bagudu Local Government Area.
According to sources, the armed men invaded Bagudu town on Friday night, shooting indiscriminately before seizing the lawmaker.
He was reportedly abducted shortly after observing his prayers and leaving the mosque for his residence.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Kebbi State Government, Ahmed Idris, confirmed the incident to Channels Television.

Efforts to reach the Kebbi State Police Command for further details were unsuccessful as of press time.
