Hope Uzodimma remains PGF chairman — Governors Forum
The Progressive Governors Forum has dismissed reports claiming that the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, has been removed as chairman of the forum, describing the claims as false, misleading and entirely without foundation.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Forum’s Director-General, Folorusho Aluko, the PGF said no meeting was held where such a decision was taken and insisted that Uzodimma remains the legitimate chairman of the body.
The forum further explained that the circulating report on some media platforms was fabricated, adding that the PGF Secretariat has no record of any discussion or resolution concerning a change in leadership.
According to the statement, the Progressive Governors Forum remains united, focused, and committed to its responsibilities within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
It urged members of the public, party supporters and the media to disregard the report in its entirety, reaffirming that Governor Uzodimma continues to enjoy the confidence and backing of APC governors across the country.
