International Breweries Plc, a member of the global brewing industry, is recruiting qualified candidates for five positions across Anambra, Ogun, Lagos and Rivers states.

1. Packaging Instrument Artisan — Anambra

Location: Onitsha Brew, Anambra
Job Requisition ID: 30098719

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving control and automation equipment and systems, with a major focus on field instrumentation and networks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshooting and optimising process control systems.
  • Supporting installation of new process control systems.
  • Interpreting process specifications and implementing modifications.
  • Identifying and resolving process control deviations.
  • Maintaining process control equipment, software integrity and security.
  • Supporting preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Working with modern instrumentation and software.
  • Coaching trainees, instrument apprentices and process operators.
  • Performing standby duties when required.
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements

  • B.Eng or HND in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
  • Minimum of three years’ instrumentation equipment maintenance and PLC experience is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of process measurement instrumentation such as level, temperature, pressure, conductivity and pH.
  • Understanding of control systems architecture.
  • Knowledge of data historian systems is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Fieldbus technologies such as ASI, Profibus, CAN Bus and Industrial Ethernet is an advantage.
  • Problem-solving ability in PLC, SCADA, Batch Systems, Fieldbus and instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of brewing, utilities and packaging processes.

2. Warehouse Team Leader — Ogun

Location: Sagamu, Ogun

The Warehouse Team Leader will supervise, manage and optimise warehouse operations, including receipt, storage, replenishment, shipping and returns.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily warehouse operations.
  • Optimising warehouse processes.
  • Managing inventory and improving inventory accuracy.
  • Processing customer receipts and credit.
  • Managing inter-depot and inter-warehouse transfers.
  • Managing product inflow and outflow.
  • Driving warehouse performance indicators and KPIs.
  • Managing team performance.
  • Developing and implementing SOPs and other process standards.
  • Ensuring stock quality and availability.
  • Improving safety on the shop floor.
  • Supervising daily stock counts.
  • Handling internal and external customer complaints.

Requirements

  • Minimum B.Sc, B.Tech or HND in a related field.
  • At least two years’ experience in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
  • Strong work ethic and goal-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.

3. Warehouse Checker — Lagos

The Warehouse Checker will support inventory processes, ensure accurate invoicing and crediting of empties, assist with stock counts and maintain warehouse governance and customer service standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Monitoring proper product stacking and housekeeping.
  • Using appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Supporting loading and unloading activities.
  • Counting products at loading and unloading locations.
  • Ensuring proper stock rotation.
  • Checking product packaging before loading.
  • Conducting daily stock counts.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Communicating with Inventory Analysts/Clerks and Stock Settlement Officers.
  • Supporting cost-control measures and reducing product breakages.

Requirements

  • Minimum OND in a relevant course.
  • Computer literacy.
  • SAP knowledge.
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Good self-management.
  • Ability to adapt to change.

4. Brewing Maintenance Planner — Rivers

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

The Brewing Maintenance Planner will manage maintenance systems, spare parts, routine and planned maintenance schedules and provide support to maintenance teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and coordinating maintenance activities.
  • Leading planned maintenance meetings.
  • Determining resources required for maintenance work.
  • Assigning tasks to relevant personnel.
  • Supporting maintenance teams during planned maintenance periods.
  • Rescheduling incomplete work.
  • Leading maintenance post-mortems.
  • Applying structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Ensuring maintenance and annual shutdown programmes are completed.
  • Ensuring required spare parts are available.
  • Identifying training needs among machine specialists and shift teams.
  • Analysing SAP maintenance data to identify recurring problems.
  • Coordinating the allocation of process artisans and machine specialists.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) or equivalent.
  • Three to five years’ production engineering experience.
  • Solid SAP experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of maintenance processes and practices.
  • Knowledge of brewing and utilities plant equipment.
  • Strong diagnostic ability.
  • Assertive leadership and people-management skills.

5. Inventory Clerk — Anambra

The Inventory Clerk will ensure that inventory governance procedures and documentation are properly followed and that physical inventory movements are accurately reflected in SAP.

  • Controlling daily documentation.
  • Checking shipment packs and inter-depot movement documents.

  • Processing customer and driver corrections.
  • Tracking missing and unsigned invoices.
  • Capturing relevant stock and survey data.

  • Conducting inventory counts.
  • Generating daily stock variance reports.
  • Issuing and receiving stock.
  • Supporting primary and secondary distribution activities on SAP.

Requirements

  • HND/B.Sc in Management-related or Science-related courses.
  • Higher qualification in Management Science is an advantage.
  • Two to three years’ experience in a stock-control environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of stock-control processes.
  • Good Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Sound knowledge of SAP R3.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
