JUST IN: Nigeria’s inflation rate falls slightly to 15.39%

Nigeria’s headline inflation rate fell slightly to 15.39 per cent in August 2026, compared with 15.43 per cent recorded in July.

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) disclosed this in its Consumer Price Index (CPI) report released on Wednesday.

The latest figure represents a marginal decline of 0.04 percentage points from the previous month, indicating a slight easing in the country’s inflation rate.
