NAF Jets bomb major terrorist territory in Sambisa, destroy key targets in fresh airstrikes
The Nigerian Air Force says its Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai has carried out decisive airstrikes on Arra, a well-known terrorist hideout in the Sambisa axis.
This was disclosed in a statement released on Wednesday in Abuja by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame.
According to him, the operation was ordered by the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, following fresh intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions that monitored terrorist movements after the October 17 ambush in Kashomri.
Ejodame explained that continuous surveillance over Kashomri and the Sambisa forest detected suspicious activities and active terrorist structures at Arra.
He said NAF aircraft then launched coordinated and successive attack runs on the designated targets.
He confirmed that all identified targets were successfully destroyed, significantly weakening terrorist capabilities and disrupting their command and logistics systems.
Ejodame added that the mission underscores the Air Force’s commitment to safeguarding the nation and supporting ground troops on all operational fronts.
He said the Nigerian Air Force remains determined to neutralise threats, defend the country’s territorial integrity, and advance lasting peace across Nigeria.
