NIS alerts public over fake recruitment websites in circulation

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has cautioned the public over fake recruitment websites falsely claiming to be hiring for the service.

In a statement shared on its X account on Tuesday, the NIS clarified that the only genuine recruitment exercise is being conducted by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board.

“The service urged all applicants and members of the public to rely solely on the official CDCFIB recruitment portal for accurate and up-to-date information:

“Any other websites, links, or advertisements circulating outside this official platform are unauthorised and should be disregarded.

“Applicants are advised to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to fraudsters who may use fake portals to collect personal data or demand payments under the guise of recruitment,” NIS added.

The NIS further urged the public to report any suspicious websites or recruitment adverts to the relevant authorities.
