NYSC 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream One orientation to begin January 21

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream One Orientation Course will commence nationwide on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.

According to a statement issued by the scheme, the orientation exercise will take place simultaneously across all 37 NYSC orientation camps in the country, including the Federal Capital Territory.

The statement disclosed that registration of prospective corps members will begin on Wednesday, January 21, and end at midnight on Friday, January 23, 2026.

It added that the swearing-in ceremony for the Batch ‘A’ Stream One corps members is scheduled for Friday, January 23, while the closing ceremony will hold on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

The Director-General of NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, urged prospective corps members to prioritise their safety while travelling to their various states of deployment.

He specifically cautioned against night journeys, advising participants to plan their movements early and adhere strictly to safety guidelines during the orientation exercise.
