‘She Doesn’t Chase Attention’: Ned Nwoko sing praise of fifth wife Laila amid family crisis
Senator Ned Nwoko has showered praise on his fifth wife, Moroccan-born Laila Charani, celebrating her as a woman of maturity, calm and dignity who has consistently avoided the storms of social-media drama.
The couple, married since 2011, share four children and reconciled quietly after their brief separation in 2021.
Nwoko’s public commendation comes at a time of renewed tension between Laila and his fourth wife, Nollywood star Regina Daniels, over family-related issues the senator has repeatedly dismissed.
In a message posted on X, Nwoko stressed that Laila remains one of the most grounded figures around him.
“Laila is not someone who lives on social media. She has never been the type to chase attention or respond to every passing opinion.”
“She prefers a peaceful and private life where her energy goes to the things that truly matter, not the distractions of the online world,” he wrote.
He added that he would always defend and appreciate her quiet strength and stability in his life, describing her presence as one anchored in privacy rather than publicity.
