Tension in C’River as 23-year-old son allegedly kills father after Church service

A 23-year-old man has allegedly killed his father in Cross River State.
The suspect, identified as Bassey Ubi, was said to have carried out the act after returning from church on Sunday.
The incident reportedly happened around the O-3 Palace area of Usaja, Ikpakapit Ward, in Ugep, Yakurr Local Government Area of the state.
The motive behind the act is yet to be ascertained.
The suspect was almost lynched by a mob before the police intervened.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, ASP Sunday Eitokpah, confirmed the development on Monday.
