Tinubu is the Biafra Igbos need; give him another four years, he will solve security problems — Umahi
Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will successfully tackle Nigeria’s insecurity challenges within the next four years if given another mandate in 2027.
Umahi made the statement on Saturday during the APC presidential primary election held at Umunaga Ward in Uburu, Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
He said the turnout of 5,009 party members at the ward to vote for Tinubu reflected strong confidence in the President’s leadership and policies.
According to him, the people of Ebonyi State remain firmly aligned with the All Progressives Congress (APC), stressing that the state is now a stronghold of the ruling party.
“Ebonyi State is totally APC. We are only APC,” Umahi declared, adding that no other political party currently holds influence in Ohaozara Local Government Area.
The minister also attributed the growing support for Tinubu in the South-East to increased federal appointments and infrastructure development across the region.
He further praised the administration’s economic reforms, acknowledging initial hardship but insisting they had helped stabilise the economy.
“I laugh when people talk about the hardship caused by the reforms. Nobody has been able to say where Nigeria would have been without them,” he said.
Umahi added that the government is now focused on translating macroeconomic stability into tangible benefits for ordinary Nigerians.
He also highlighted ongoing road and bridge projects nationwide, describing them as evidence of renewed federal attention to infrastructure development across all regions.
