Tunde Onakoya honors Ademola Lookman with Chessboard, calls him Africa’s best
Nigerian chess master Tunde Onakoya recently gifted a chessboard to Nigerian and Atlético Madrid forward Ademola Lookman, hailing him as one of Africa’s finest after an impressive performance on the field.
Onakoya, the founder of Chess in Slums Africa, realized a lifelong dream by visiting the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid. He shared the moment on social media, posting a photo from pitchside at the famous Real Madrid home ground.
The chess advocate also attended one of Lookman’s matches, praising the forward for his skillful play, including a memorable header that helped showcase his talent.
The presentation of the chessboard was intended as a tribute to Lookman’s excellence, with Onakoya stating that Nigerian youths continue to make remarkable strides on the global stage.
