Union Bank of Nigeria has opened applications for its 2026 Management Trainee Programme, offering young graduates an opportunity to begin a career in the banking sector.

The application window closes on August 28, 2026, meaning eligible candidates have until today to submit their applications.

The programme is designed to equip selected candidates with technical and soft skills while providing on-the-job experience and exposure to different areas of the bank’s operations.

Union Bank said the initiative is aimed at developing high-performing graduates into well-rounded banking professionals and future leaders.

Requirements for Union Bank Management Trainee Programme

To qualify for the Management Trainee Programme, applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with at least a Second-Class Lower division or an HND with a minimum of Lower Credit.

Candidates must also have at least five O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.

Applicants must be 27 years old or younger at the time of application.

Completion of the National Youth Service Corps programme is also mandatory. Candidates are expected to possess either an NYSC discharge certificate or certificate of exemption.

Union Bank Tech Bootcamp

The bank is also recruiting graduates for its Tech Bootcamp programme.

The Tech Bootcamp is open to candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Numerical Sciences or a related discipline. Candidates with relevant professional information technology certifications may also be eligible.

The academic, age, O’Level and NYSC requirements for the Tech Bootcamp are the same as those for the Management Trainee Programme.

Successful candidates in both programmes are expected to receive continuous learning and development opportunities through learning academies, mentorship, professional partnerships and departmental rotations.

The bank said the programme is structured to give participants broad exposure and prepare them for long-term career growth within the organisation.
