Gridlock as two trucks, car collide on Lagos expressway
A multiple-vehicle accident involving two articulated trucks carrying cargo and a private car occurred on Monday at TREM inward Gbagada along the Lagos expressway.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority confirmed the incident in a traffic update posted on its official X account, stating that emergency responders had been deployed to the scene.
According to the agency, recovery efforts were already underway to clear the affected vehicles and restore the free flow of traffic.
“A multiple-vehicle collision involving two articulated trucks laden with cargo and one private car has occurred at TREM inward Gbagada along the Expressway,” LASTMA said.
The agency added that a tow truck had been dispatched to the location to assist with the evacuation of the damaged vehicles.
“Additionally, the LASTMA Rescue and Recovery Unit has been deployed to the scene to facilitate prompt vehicle extrication and enforce effective traffic management,” the agency said.
Motorists were advised to exercise caution and expect delays in the area as emergency teams continue recovery operations
