Canada opens recruitment for Health Care, Social Service Professionals including Nigerians (How to apply)
Canada is inviting skilled professionals in the health care and social services sectors to explore immigration opportunities as the country works to address workforce shortages.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced the initiative in a post on X, calling on qualified professionals with the required training, credentials and work experience to explore available immigration pathways.
Professionals being sought include:
- Nurse Practitioners
- Dentists
- Pharmacists
- Psychologists
- Social Workers
- Other eligible health care and social service professionals
The invitation is open to qualified professionals from around the world, meaning eligible Nigerians with the required qualifications and experience can also explore the available pathways.
According to IRCC, the initiative is aimed at attracting skilled workers who can help fill gaps in Canada’s health care workforce and provide essential services to Canadians.
Who Can Apply?
Interested professionals must have the relevant training, credentials and professional experience required for their occupation.
However, meeting the professional requirements does not automatically guarantee permanent residence or a job in Canada. Applicants must determine which immigration pathway applies to their individual circumstances and meet all applicable requirements.
