Thousands gather at Old Trafford as Pastor Jerry Eze lead prayer in Manchester
Old Trafford, the 74,000-capacity home of Manchester United, was transformed into a worship centre on Saturday as Nigerian pastor Jerry Eze led the NSPPD UK Prayer Conference.
The event, organised by Streams of Joy International, attracted worshippers from across the United Kingdom and other parts of the world for a day of prayer, worship and fellowship.
The conference, known for its popular NSPPD prayer sessions, featured a large gathering of believers who converged at the iconic Manchester stadium to participate in the programme.
Admission to the event was free, although attendees were required to register ahead of the conference as available spaces were limited.
Demand for the event reportedly exceeded the available capacity, with some social media users claiming in the days leading up to the conference that registration had closed.
Some prospective attendees subsequently turned to TikTok and other social media platforms in search of spare tickets or available registration slots.
The prayer conference also featured performances and ministrations by a number of prominent gospel artistes and ministers.
Among those who joined Eze at the event were Sunmisola Agbebi, Mercy Chinwo, Dunsin Oyekan and Kaestrings.
The gathering featured extended sessions of prayer, worship and praise as worshippers sought spiritual renewal and healing.
The use of Old Trafford for the conference also provided a notable setting for the event, with the Manchester United stadium temporarily taking on a different role as thousands of worshippers gathered for the religious programme.
Images and footage from the conference showed worshippers filling sections of the stadium as the programme progressed.
The NSPPD UK Prayer Conference is part of the wider activities of Streams of Joy International and Pastor Jerry Eze’s NSPPD ministry, which has attracted a global audience through its online prayer broadcasts.
