2027: Taraba is 100% behind Tinubu — Governor Kefas
Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has declared that the state is “100 per cent” behind the All Progressives Congress (APC), expressing confidence that residents will support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Kefas made the declaration after meeting with Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The governor, who described himself as the leader of the APC in Taraba State, said he visited the President to welcome him back to Abuja and commiserate with him over the recent Nigerian Air Force aircraft crash in Ondo State.
The crash, involving a Nigerian Air Force ATR-42 aircraft, claimed the lives of all 25 people on board.
Explaining his support for Tinubu, Kefas cited federal government interventions in Taraba across key sectors, including security, education, healthcare and infrastructure.
According to the governor, the people of the state are beginning to feel the impact of the Federal Government’s interventions and have received assurances of Tinubu’s commitment to the development of Taraba.
“We are 100 per cent APC in Taraba State,” Kefas said, expressing confidence that the state would support Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
He said the Federal Government’s support for the state had strengthened the relationship between Taraba and the Tinubu administration.
Kefas also reiterated his position as the political leader of the APC in the state, saying his administration would continue to work with the Federal Government on initiatives aimed at improving the welfare and development of residents.
The governor’s declaration comes ahead of the 2027 general election, as political parties and their leaders intensify mobilisation and consultations across the country.
