CDCFIB Recruitment: Portal opens October 28 for shortlisted candidates
Jibrin said the decision was taken because candidates had been waiting for an update on the recruitment process.
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced October 28 as the date for reopening its recruitment portal for candidates who reached the oral interview stage.
The portal will remain open until November 13, allowing candidates to check their recruitment status.
The Secretary to the Board, retired Major-General Abdulmalik Jibrin, disclosed this on Thursday after the board’s meeting in Abuja.
Jibrin said the decision was taken because candidates had been waiting for an update on the recruitment process.
“The board has considered and agreed, since candidates have been waiting, that by 28th of October, God willing, the portal will open for them to check their status. The portal will open from 28th October to 13th November,” he said.
He said candidates should check their status on the portal and proceed with a mandatory drug test with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency. He stated that the test is in line with a federal government directive that every employee due for an appointment letter must submit a certificate clearing them of illegal drug use.
“For candidates who have reached so far as the oral interviews, to check their status and select and attend a mandatory drug test with the NDLEA, in keeping with the federal government directive that every employee who has gone to get an appointment letter must submit the document alongside a certificate of clearance,” he said.
Jibrin explained that successful candidates will take a code from the portal and go to the NDLEA office in their respective states for the test, after which they will converge in Abuja to collect their appointment letters.
“So, the portal will open 28th October up to 13th November for people to check their status and then take a code and proceed to their respective state where the NDLEA office is and present themselves for mandatory drug test,” he said.
The board oversees recruitment into the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Nigerian Correctional Service, the Federal Fire Service, and the Nigeria Immigration Service.
