Anxiety for applicants as CDCFIB moves physical screening to undisclosed date

Published

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has announced the postponement of the opening of its portal for shortlisted candidates scheduled to undergo physical screening and document verification for the 2025 recruitment exercise.

The portal, earlier slated to open from Monday, December 1 to Wednesday, December 3, will now “open as soon as possible,” according to a statement signed by the Board’s Secretary, Maj.-Gen. (Rtd) A.M. Jibril, and posted on X late Monday. No new date was provided.

The Board urged shortlisted candidates to monitor the official recruitment portal, recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, for updates on the rescheduled opening date.

It also apologised for any inconvenience caused, expressing appreciation for the patience and interest of applicants, while noting that further announcements would be made on the official portal and the Board’s verified social media platforms.

The Board had earlier disclosed that shortlisted candidates for physical screening and document verification would be released starting December 1, following the conclusion of computer-based tests last month.

It emphasised that the physical verification stage remains a crucial phase of the recruitment process, where applicants’ identities, documents and physical fitness will be fully authenticated before the final selection stage.

The ongoing recruitment covers the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
