Korra Obidi visits Fela’s grave, twerks for legendary singer ( video )

Dancer and singer, Korra Obidi, has paid a controversial yet colourful tribute to Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, during her recent visit to Nigeria from the United States.

Obidi, who spent time with Fela’s son, Seun Kuti, made her way to the iconic musician’s graveside, where she performed a dance routine in his honour.

The display, which featured her trademark twerking, was described by the entertainer as her personal “offering” to the late Afrobeat pioneer.

According to her, the energetic performance symbolised the vibrancy, freedom and artistic expression that defined Fela’s life and legacy.
